  • 29 CFR 1910.178(g)(7) States that all industrial trucks need to be inspected before being placed into service and shall not be placed into service if the examination shows any condition adversly affecting the safety of the vehicle. Such examinations shall be made at least daily.

Diesel fork lift inspection

  • Mark either yes saying its good or no its not good and if marked no write down the problem and sumbit to management of safety

  • Tires - Condition and Pressure

  • Hydraulic fluid level - check level

  • Engine oil level - dipstick

  • Transmission fluid level - dipstick

  • Engine air cleaner - squeeze rubber dirt trap or check the restriction alarm (if equiped)

  • Fuel sedimentor (diesel)

  • Radiator coolant - check level

  • Nameplate - attached and information matches model, serial number and attachments<br>29 CFR 1910.178(a)(3)

  • Seat belt - functioning smoothly<br>29 CFR 1910.178(m)(2)

  • Hood latch - adjusted and securely fastened

  • Brake fluid - check level

Engine on checks - unusual noises must be investigated immediately 29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1)
