  • TASK SCHEDULE

    1. A visual inspection to be carried out in order to determine all conditions of the Lightning Protection System, which includes Mechanical equipment and breakdown of continuous polarity due to weathering, or corrosion, all joints, interconnecting straps and strike pads to be inspected
    2. Any new equipment or removed equipment is to be inspected to check that all plant has been correctly bonded to the lightning protection system, and records of this should be noted, for inspector on the return visit.
    3. The testing of Lightning protection system should be tested at an interval of every 11 months so that all aspects of the weather and ground conditions can be taken into consideration for a true result
    4. Each system will have the earth electrodes tested individually to earth and to the rest of the system, the results of the individual electrodes should not exceed 1 ohmn and when connected no more than 10 ohmns for each electrode counted and added together. (example 10 electrodes would equal as result no greater than 10 ohmns). If the structure of the building has been used as the down straps this is limited to the extent of the testing and recommendations will follow on how to provide test points
    5. All defects reported while inspections and tests are being carried out will follow with a Quotation to carry out any necessary repair works to the Lightning Protection System in order to leave it operational.
    6. All testing carried out to SFG20 38-01
