    Complete this section with ALL the personnel involved in the Get in of the performance, as part of the touring company introduction to the Beck Theatre
    The CSM, TM or Sound Engineer must sign it to acknowledge they have understood the method of how the Get In of the show is going to be accomplished.

  • PPE- Footwear- it is a Requirement that ALL staff wear steel toes shoes when the risk of injury to feet exsists

  • PPE - Hard Hat or Helmet - must be worn at times when work is taking place above a person.

  • PPE - High Visability Jacket - to be worn when directing the movement of any vehicle

  • Used the correct Get In door for size of the vehicle and the shows requirements

  • Positioning of the vehicle

  • Unloading of the set or sound equipment

  • Operation and loading of the orchestra lift

  • Hanging of any equipment on the bars

  • Building the set

  • Setting up of the sound, lighting or projection equipment on stage

  • FOH sound desk movement to the auditorium mixing position

  • Access equipment usage, ladder or Tallascope

  • Access to lighting bridges

  • Additional operations requires for the show not listed above

  • Names and job role of who was present

  • Touring Company Representative

  • Beck Theatre Staff

Risk Assessments

  • Complete the following assessment of the show, to determine if the production needs additional risk assessment to be completed.

  • Naked flame or cigarettes?

  • Wooden scenery (box set or flatage )

  • Trucked scenery

  • Levels in the scenery

  • Flown effect (other that a moving light, lantern or projector)

  • Special rigging - supplied by external company

  • Animals

  • Automation

  • Compressed Gases

  • Liquids - large amounts that could cause an electrical or slip hazard - for example rain effect

  • Weapons

  • Other

  • If YES is answered to any of the above then there needs to be a RA that covers this either from the PRODUCTION COMPANY or the BECK THEATRE's own risk assessments.

  • Detail each hazard and the documents that have been provided along with the control measures to reduces the risks.

Noise

  • To comply with the The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and HQT Noise Policy. it is required that noise readings are carried out to protect the hearing of employees that are on duty and could be exposed to high noise levels.

    3 reading are to be taken each show
    1. In the sound check from the auditorium by the front of the steps level with Row D. This set the level that the Usher will be exposed to allowing to determining if they need hearing protection given to them when they arrive
    2. In Act 1 at the Prompt desk to see the level of exposure that the Duty Stage Manger is receiving.
    3. In Act 2 at the Prompt desk to see the level of exposure that the Duty Stage Manger is receiving.
    The Duty Stage Manger will have taken reading number 1 so will know if they need to have hearing protection before the show starts

They are located at each end of the dressing room corridors. Your assembly point is in the car park located next to the theatre. Thank you
