• Explain the fire evacuation point. The assembly point is car park C.<br><br>• Strictly no smoking or vaping in the building. Designated smoking areas are available.<br><br>• Alcohol backstage and working under the influence is forbidden. <br> Please restrict any post show drinks to the FOH bars and do not re-enter backstage areas if you have consumed alcohol.<br><br>• Please inform a member of staff if you injure yourself or require FIRST AID.<br><br>• Only water in plastic bottles allowed on stage and in control rooms.<br><br>• Electrical equipment bought into the building must be PAT tested.<br><br>• Please turn off lights and any electrical items when leaving the dressing rooms.<br><br>• Visiting companies are liable for the loss and damage of beck theatre equipment.<br><br>• Company members are discouraged from entering any FOH space in make-up or costume.<br><br>Stage <br>• Screwing and fixing into the floor, walls and ceiling requires authorisation.<br><br>• Scenery should be fireproofed. Certificates must be made available for inspection.<br><br>• Structural steelwork scenery should be capable of being earth bonded.<br><br>• Props and scenery must not obstruct the emergency exits and ladders at any time.<br><br>• Permission must be sought prior to entering the fly floors.<br><br>• visiting companies are to ensure they complete their fit-up/get-out on time. <br><br>• The DSM/company must confirm FOH clearance before the performance can begin.<br><br><br>• On completion of your run, during the get-out, you are required to return the venue to how it was found on your arrival.<br><br>

Complete this section with ALL the personnel involved in the Get in of the performance, as part of the touring company introduction to the Beck Theatre.
The CSM, TM or Sound Engineer must sign it to acknowledge they have understood the method of how the Get In of the show is going to be accomplished.
LARGER COMPANIES will also be given the H&S talk. -

PPE- Footwear- It is a Requirement that ALL staff wear protective footwear when the risk of injury to feet exists. Mention that from January 2024 no one will be allowed on stage without protective footwear.

I understand that I should be wearing protective footwear whilst working on the Beck Theatre stage area. But have opted not to. I the undersigned will not hold the Beck Theatre or any of their employees responsible for any injury caused to me due to not wearing protective footwear.

Which load in door is being used?
-
PPE - High Visability Jacket - To be worn when directing the movement of any large truck on the get in dock ramp or around the building.

All equipment for the stage will be placed onto our orchestra pit and lifted onto the stage. This will only be operated by The Beck Staff.

Will you be hanging any equipment on the bars?
-
The Beck Staff will bring in and load bars with directions from the visiting company. The weight of anything being rigged to a fly bar should be known by the visiting company. Only Beck Staff can operate the fly bars. Safety Restrictions on the flying system mean that only ONE bar at a time can be moved, there is a safety button that has to be operated by a Beck staff at ground level at all times

Do you require the use of ladders or the tallescope to rig or focus?

Does the show have any set to build?

The visiting company will lead in the construction of any set, explain how it goes together and advise about the weight of the set pieces to The Beck Staff.

Does the scenery or props need screwed or fixed into the floor?

Are there any metal structures and are they capable of being earth bonded?

Is the scenery fireproofed? Can this be certified?

Do you require the use of ladders or the tallescope to build the set?

Any FOH equipment will have to be lifted up the staircase and will be positioned on the deck situated in the back row of the auditorium.

Will the vising company require access to the FOH Catwalks or the Flyfloor?

PPE - Hard Hat or Helmet - Must be worn at times when work is taking place above a person.

Remind them to keep to the catwalks at all times and to keep the walk ways clear of trip hazards.

Has the company been informed of any door codes that they will need access to?

Has the company been told about using the stage door access after the get-in has finished?

Pre Show Report
Noise
-
To comply with the The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and HQT Noise Policy. it is required that noise readings are carried out to protect the hearing of employees that are on duty and could be exposed to high noise levels.
3 reading are to be taken each show
1. In the sound check from the auditorium by middle of Row H. This sets the level that the Usher will be exposed to allowing to determining if they need hearing protection given to them when they arrive.
2. In Act 1 at the Prompt desk to see the level of exposure that the Duty Stage Manger is receiving.
3. In Act 2 at the Prompt desk to see the level of exposure that the Duty Stage Manger is receiving.
The Duty Stage Manger will have taken reading number 1 so will know if they need to have hearing protection before the show starts
• If the level is above 86 dB then ear protection is advised and should be offered to the staff and ushers in the auditorium. -
