FIRE SAFETY

  • If you find or suspect a fire, break a manual call point as soon as possible which are located at each fire exit door, and evacuate the building.

EVACUATION

  • • Pre show we evacuate the building as soon as there is an alarm this only applies up to the show time.

  • • During show time if the Fire Alarm activates, sounders will go of in the backstage areas. This is to notify staff that the alarm has activated this DOES NOT mean to evacuate. When the alarms are activated you must calmly stay where you are, until instructed to take action by a member of your company or Beck staff.

  • • The only exception to this is if you know you are in a position of danger (i.e can see smoke/flames), if this is the case your priority is to get yourself to safety, leaving through your nearest fire exit.

  • • Your 'on stage' fire exits are located at the back of the stage, down the stairs through the dressings room area, or (ONLY if instructed to do so) down the front of the stage and out of the SL or SR auditorium fire exits. If you are down in the dressing room area your nearest fire exits are located by each end of the corridors, the greenroom and boardroom have their own exits in the room.

  • • The assembly is located in the car park adjacent to the venue (point to the direction), a member of your company will carry out where the roll call. It is essential that you report directly to a member of your company, or we will notify the fire service on arrival that you are still in the building.

FIRST AID

  • • All technicians are first aid trained (name and point them out).

  • • There are also First aid trained staff FOH

  • • Even though chaperones may be first aid trained, as soon as there is accident or incident a member of the Beck Team MUST be notified. So we can fill out our paperwork, and monitor the situation.

  • • If you need to call for emergency services then do so straight away, then inform a member of the Beck team, these will be the people guiding the emergency services into the building, and have access to the First Aid it is essential we know.

  • • We do not provide plasters or first aid for blisters; this is the responsibility of your company or yourselves, this is an occupational injury rather than an injury caused by a accident.
