Pre-Pump Inspection

  • If you are conducting a PRE-PUMP INSPECTION, be sure to include photos and notes to document and verify that each question is answered correctly.

  • What is the machine hours reading?

  • Did you perform a Pre-Trip Visual Inspection of the tires, motor oil, coolant, liquids, housing, belts, lights, signals, windshield wipers, horn and back-up alarm prior to moving the pump?

  • Is the Boom Pump Integrity Satisfactory?

  • Is hydraulic oil filled to manufacturers specifications?

  • Are there any hydraulic oil leaks?

  • Did you engage the power take off (PTO) and start pump to ensure it strokes?

  • Are all functions of remote working properly?

  • Did you ensure greaser is full?

  • Is there grease available?

  • Are remote batteries charged?

  • Do you have extra batteries for the remote?

  • Did you ensure that the water tank and water box are full?

  • Did you ensure that all clamps are properly secured?

  • Prior to extending the boom, did you ensure that any attachments (such as reducers, folding pipes, etc.) have been secured with a safety device or tether?

Post-Pump Inspection

  • Is there an adequate amount of grease visible on all grease points.

  • Did you check for any imperfections on all hardware, gaskets, and other parts susceptible?

  • Did you ensure that there is no build up in the S-Pipe?

  • Has the water box and tank been drained if temperatures are going to be below 32°F?

  • Did you ensure to store the remote in its proper place?

  • Did you ensure that all hoses and clamps are properly cleaned and securely loaded onto the truck?

  • Did you ensure to check for any leaking fluids such as oil, coolant, etc.?

  • Did you ensure to fuel the pump for the next day?
