Fixed and Mobile Scaffolding

  • Does scaffolding Greater than 2m but less than 5m have current inspection tags?

  • Are toe boards and guard rails fitted?

  • Are mobile scaffolds secure and stable?

  • Are castors locked on mobile scaffolds?

Working at Heights/Fall Prevention

  • Harnesses on site are in a good visual state and have had formal inspection within the last 6 months?

  • EWPs on site have current fitness certificates and log books?

  • Are holes/pits covered or barriers off?

  • Have steel rods been capped?

  • Are entry and exit points clear from obstacles, clutter, waste etc?

  • Are slip and trip hazards being managed?

  • Is there adequate rubbish and waste bin storage on site?

  • Is noise being controlled?

  • Is dust being minimised/controlled?

  • Is there controls in place for dealing with spills and chemical disposal/paint wash?

  • Has the site been tested for asbestos?

  • Has any identified asbestos been put into a management plan and/or had a clearance certificate issued?
