Documentation Review

  • Is there a controlled environment for managing aircraft records and documentation?

  • Where multiple aircraft are parked is there clear segregation and storage of associated records and documentation?

  • Where multiple aircraft are parked, sample related maintenance documentation. Is there to evidence of cross contamination?

  • Have all the preparatory steps for long term parking been accomplished iaw the manufacturer/Operators requirements?

  • Has an open Revision been set up to control the parking requirements?

  • Is there evidence to demonstrate that parking maintenance tasks are being carried out at the required frequency? Refer to relevant prolonged parking stage sheets for guidance.

  • Are there clear lines of communication between the Operator and the maintenance organisation to plan and control maintenance requirements and provide feedback where applicable?

  • Is there an open entry in the aircraft log recording fitment of pitot/static blanks?

  • Are maintenance tasks being correctly recorded and completed on task cards and/or aircraft log entries, and certified by appropriately authorised personnel?

Aircraft Physical Survey

  • Are all cabin doors closed and sealed as required?

  • Are all cargo doors and equipment bay access doors closed and sealed where required?

  • Is the aircraft chocked and secured per the Operators parking requirements?

  • Are Landing Gear downlock pins installed?

  • Are all flight control surfaces stowed per the Operators parking requirements?

  • Are the aircraft flight deck windows covered/protected per the Operators parking requirements?

  • Can it be confirmed there is no evidence of obvious damage, fluid leakage, or deterioration?

  • Has the aircraft been positioned to minimise the effects of adverse weather conditions?
