Hand Washing Technique

Hands washed with water and soap following correct steps for 20 seconds. Alcohol-based handrub used if no immediate access to soap and water.

Hands dried thoroughly (ideally with disposable towel), or allowed to evaporate if using handrub.

Tap turned off with elbow or clean disposable towel.
