  • Use this maintenance checklist to help you when doing inspections of the Buildings. Spot problems and immediately fix them and let your Foreman know if you need help with any work even while your maintenance check is ongoing.

  • Remember that you can take photos and add comments to any of the below sections for your notes or reference.

  • Building Interior

  • Any visible signs of leaks

  • Is the Paint and walls/ ceilings in good condition

  • Are all the floors, in a good condition

  • You have Inspected and found NO hazards (electrical, mechanical, structural, physical, tripping, etc.)

  • Are all toilets, taps and showers are operational and in good working condition

  • All doors in proper operation; exits are not obstructed

  • Door locks and closures in good condition

  • Any evidence of insect infestation

  • Furniture

  • Are tables, chairs, notice and white boards in good condition? if not please fix or note location below and report.

  • Electrical

  • All lights/bulbs/lamps checked and none need replacement

  • All exterior lighting is functioning correctly

  • Any exhaust fans/vents are clean and working

  • Dose anything need PAT testing

  • Check all clocks have the correct time on, if not please adjust to make sure they do.

  • Safety

  • Any accumulation of rubbish in storage areas or walk ways

  • Is the Firefighting equipment in good condition

  • Carbon monoxide detectors tested and working

  • Safety signs and equipment labels are in good condition

  • Plumbing

  • Plumbing inspected, Any leaks or unusual noises

  • Boiler, Water booster and circulation pumps are all OK ; no leaks on couplings or in the boiler house

  • Building Exterior

  • walls in good condition

  • Any broken windows or doors

  • All boundary walls, Fencing and railings in good condition

  • Any plants growing on the building or its foundation

  • Cleaned roof drains and gutters (if needed), Tested drains and downspouts by flushing them with water

  • Gutters have adequate anchoring

  • Any debris found (clean if any)

  • Any broken glass or debris on the ground

  • Driveway and parking area in good condition

  • Storm water drains and gully's in good condition and clean

  • Plants and lawns in good condition

  • Trees in good condition; no branches are about to fall

  • Is the area around the rubbish bins clean
