OSHA Safety

  • Are workers wearing personal protective equipment where required?<br>

  • Is the work area kept clean and in a sanitary condition?

  • Are floor and wall openings marked appropriately?

  • Is scaffolding being utilized and if so is the footing sound and is the scaffold able to support without failure four times the maximum intended load?

  • Is the workspace free and clear of all tripping hazards?

  • Is there any confined space operations taking place on the job site and if so is there an entry permit on site?

Fire and Life Safety

  • Is a fire watch being utilized and is there proper documentation on site?

  • Is there a fire extinguisher within 50' in any direction on the job site and is it properly installed and labeled?

  • Is the fire alarm and sprinkler system in good operating condition?

  • Is the area free of signs of smoking?

  • Are exit signs clearly visible, easy to understand, and illuminating properly?

  • If trash chutes are utilized is there a trash chute safety plan on site and is the plan being adhered too?

  • Is there a fire safety program in place?

  • In buildings over 1 story in height is there at least one stairwell that can be used at all times?

  • Is there fire department access?

  • Are the fire hydrants related to the construction site free from any obstructions?

  • Are temporary walls separating occupied portions of the structure from construction at least 1 hour fire rated?

  • Are there safety caps on all fuel gas cylinders?

  • Are safety precautions being followed for all underground work?

  • Is a fully functional communications system in place and being used?

Infection Control Measures

  • What class of infection control is required for this job site?

  • Are temporary barriers in place and effective?

  • Has HVAC been properly modified?

  • Is the sticky walk-off mat in place and effective?

  • Is the negative pressure monitoring device working properly?

  • Is the anteroom constructed properly and functioning properly?

  • Are the HEPA filters being utilized as prescribed by the ICRA and maintained properly?

  • Is there demonstrated compliance with cover clothing as required by the ICRA?

  • Are efforts being made to minimize dust and debris in and around the job site?
