Daily Site Inspection

  • Are all fire exits easy to operate and open outwards in the direction of escape?

  • Are pedestrian routes clearly marked and sufficiently lit for both day and night operations?

  • Are all pedestrian routes free from obstructions?

  • Do underbelt crossing points have overhead protection for pedestrians?

  • Are spill kits available near plant or machinery?

  • Have any items used from a spill kit been replaced?

  • Is dust being controlled effectively on site?

  • Are personnel wearing dust masks when working near to the processing machinery?

  • Is the equipment being operated safely, within site speed limits or operating restrictions?

  • Are all the specified guards fitted correctly to the processing equipment?

  • Are all access platforms, handrails and ladders installed correctly and free from damage?

  • Are overhead safety lines for harnesses, fitted in locations where working at height takes place?

  • Are cleaning personnel keeping clear of moving parts and mobile plant?

  • Has the LTP been checked and were the levels within acceptable limits?
