Slips, Trips, & Falls

  • Are all storage areas clean, tidy & free from any trip hazards?

  • Floors in all areas of the store are kept clean, dry and slip free on all shifts (including cold room, and freezer floors are clean and free from build up and ice)

  • Wet Floor Signs are used and all spills are cleaned immediately?

  • All employees wear correct uniforms - including non-slip, fully enclosed approved footwear (no heals for) that is clean and in good condition?

  • Are all lights clean and in working order? <br>(Please note: all repair works must be completed by a licensed electrician)

Knife Handling & Lacerations

  • Are Safe Knit/Mesh gloves available for staff to use?

  • Are the Safe Knit/Mesh gloves in good condition, clean, and being used appropriately?

  • Care is taken when opening cartons, knives (kitchen/steak) are not used to open cartons?

Electrical

  • Are ALL power points securely fixed & free from grease/dirt build up and in good working condition (no cracks, loose or damaged in any way)?

  • Do ALL unused power points have dummy plugs?

  • Has a Test & Tag inspection been conducted by an approved technician in the last 12 Months?

  • Please note date of last Test & Tag date.

  • Are all electrical cords and connections(plugs and fixed) free from fraying, cracks, splits and exposure to water?

  • Is the electrical switch/fuse board enclosed and unobstructed? (no stock, boxes or crates stored in front of)

  • Is there are legend/index stored inside/with the switch board?
