Understand operations being carried outn by PCBU in which they are employed and the hazards and risks associated

  • Hold a CRAW Construction risk assessment workshop.

  • Compile a risk register.

  • Update risk register. (@ least 1/ month)

  • Carry out a site inspection. (@ least 1/ week)

  • Know and understand the types of works being undertaken and their associated hazards and risks.

  • Open and maintain a close and effective communication line/ link with the team/ personnel participating in works.

  • Maintain communication link to allow prompt notification when works change.

Ensure PCBU has and is effectively implementing relevant resources and processes to eliminate risks and hazards encountered

  • Source all available internal and external resources to assist in minimising risks in the works

  • Ensure the PCBU's current systems and processes allow for prompt notification and response

  • Keep in close communication with clients/ external sources to ensure systems are effective and compare to industry practices.

  • Ensure new site start up site inspections are carried out

  • Ensure that monthly reports have been read and interpreted to identify trends in hazards/ risks/ injuries

Ensure that the PCBU is complying with the current relevant legislation. For example- WHS Act 2011/ Reg 2011

  • Ensure to report ALL notifiable incidents immediately MAX 24hrs

  • Ensure that ALL incidents are reported immediately.

  • Ensure you consult with workers

  • You comply with notices

  • You provide training and instruction

  • You ensure HSR's receive training

  • Understand your responsibilities - due diligence courses etc
