Air Quality

  • Stockpiles protected with sediment fences / silt worms along the down slope side.

  • Pump out waters passed through correct dewatering procedures as outlined in the approved ESCP. Dewatering checklist form completed.

  • Areas of subsidence repaired following reinstatement.

  • Run-off waters diverted around work areas or conveyed through appropriate erosion and sediment controls.

Flora

  • Environmentally sensitive "No Go Zones" confirmed with work supervisor during daily pre-starts.

  • Trench breaks / plugs / earth ramps palced at appropriate intervals to facilitate fauna movement.

  • Pipe caps over ends of all strung sections of pipes.

Pest and Weed Management

  • No declared weeds present within construction area - including stockpiles, laydowns and ROW work areas.

  • All vehicles and plant arrives clean at site with a completed 'weed hygiene declaration'.

  • Wash down facilities in good working order.

  • Weed material disposed of in accordance with the pest and weed management plan.

  • All high risk materials received on site have weed declaration certificates - and are certified weed free.

  • Water holding containers, ponds and vessels free from mosquito and midge larvae.

Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials

  • All hazardous substances stored and bunded in accordance with the relevant MSDS and regulations.

  • Temporary bunding, drip trays or impermeable matting used to prevent spillage from any in field refuelling or maintenance.

  • Spill kits fully stocked and placed in suitable locations.

  • All spills cleaned up and reported according to WDS procedures.

Waste Management

  • Waste material is appropriately separated, stored and labelled.

  • No waste or litter on site including in trenches and excavations.

  • Waste containers and storage areas inspected to ensure they do not reach full capacity prior to collection.

  • Hydrotest water treated if required and discharged in accordance with the Hydrotest MP.
