Safety check prior to beginnning

  • If lights are installed, have they been checked and are they working well

  • Have you scooped the surface properly

  • Has pool been vacuumed

  • Have you brushed steps and walls properly

  • Does salt cell require cleaning

  • Has in-line feeder been cleaned and/or filled

  • Has the skimmer basket been cleaned

  • Has the pump basket been cleaned

  • Have you backwashed and rinsed the sand filter

  • Has pool cleaner been tested, cleaned and is working properly

Pool water analysis

  • Have you carried out an on-site water test

  • Free Chlorine reading PPM (parts per million) ideal 1-3

  • Total Chlorine reading PPM (parts per million) ideal 1-3

  • Salt reading (ideal 4000 - 5000)

  • pH reading (ideal 7.2 - 7.6)

  • Total alkalinity reading (ideal 80 - 130)

  • Total hardness (ideal 80 - 125)

  • Does the pool have any visible signs of Algae?

Pool area safety checklist

  • CPR sign clearly readable and visible (take photo)

  • Pool gate (s) in working order (does it auto shut and lock, does the latch work easily, are hinges working well, any squeaking) IF POOL GATE IS NOT COMPLIANT CABLE TIE GATE SHUT AND TAKE PHOTOGRAPH

  • Pool fencing in good condition and does it conform to standards

  • Is there anything against the fence or gate that could be used as a step

Overall pool area

  • Is the pool area neat and tidy

  • If the equipment is housed, is the housing neat and tidy and in good condition

  • Are there any chemicals left out

  • Are you happy to leave site in the condition it is

Consumables Required

  • Were additional chemicals required

  • Record all additional chemicals

Sign off as completed correctly

  • Has the timer been switched back to AUTO

  • Prior to leaving take an after photo of pool & pool area
