  • Were there any Gas Works?

  • Is an isolation valve accessible for a gas hob?

  • Is the area directly behind the gas hob clear or flammable materials i.e. upstands

  • Is 10mm earth bonding in place for the gas supply and main water stopcock?

  • Are all cutouts sealed with PVA/silicone?

  • Have the worktops been oiled on both sides as per manufacturer's instructions?

  • Have the worktops been installed with slotted brackets / over-sized holes to allow movement of the timber.

  • Have the worktops been installed as per manufacturers instructions?

  • Was any floor tiling being carried out?

  • Was the floor been suitable prepared using 12mm ply for wooden floor and screed for concrete?

  • Are the tiles flat with no protruding edges?

  • Did we carry out any wall tiling?

  • Have the tiles been sealed as per manufacturer's instructions?

  • Have the tiles been set out to a plan i.e. starting at a window with no "tiny" cuts in corners? all tiles flat with no protruding edges?

  • Has the grout been cleaned off and the tiles polished?

  • Was any laminate flooring being installed?

  • Has the floor been laid correctly? i.e. NOT under unit legs and not tight to edges/skirting boards etc to allow movement? Has the floor been suitably prepared i.e. leaving no excessive "bounce" in sections of floor?
