Are children's registers completed correctly - all children signed in/out?

Are staff/child ratios correct?

Are staff correctly deployed around the room?

Is the Key Person Board updated and correct?

Is daily planning in place and visible on the planning board?

Ask a staff member about today's planning. Do they know what the activity is and its relevance?

Is sand, water and malleable play available?

Has the Daily Room Risk Assessment been completed?

Is fresh water available and accessible to children?

Is the Bathroom Cleaning Checklist completed and up to date?

Are all staff adhering to the nursery dress code policy? Look for heath and safety hazards

Is the room generally tidy and clutter free - does the room look presentable for arriving parents and visitors?
