Containment @ tank farm

  • Are the liner and walls in good condition?

  • Are the walls in a straight line?

  • Are there clips on every other wall, and clips in the corners?

  • Are there any tears in the liner?

  • Are TOS stairs with this containment?

  • Are the stairs in good condition? (check welds, handrails, and steps)

Tank Farm (Front of tanks)

  • Are there any leaks from hoses or connections?

  • Are valve handles on each valve assembly?

  • Are valve handles in good condition? (not broken)

  • Are there locking levers on all valve handles?

  • Do the locking levers work as they should? (test the spring by compressing the lever)

  • Are there any missing bolts in the valve assemblies?

  • Are there caps or plugs on all connections?

  • Are the hammer unions on the wings in good condition? (not flattened or rounded )

  • Are the upper and lower manifold support bolts in place and tight?

  • Are there any leaks from manway hatches? (run your gloved hand around the hatch to test for liquid)

  • Are the wing nuts on the manway hatch tight and unbroken?

  • Are all bolts on valve assemblies tight?

  • Are there any under flush bolts on flanges or manway hatches?

  • Are there Confined Space stickers on manway hatches?

  • Are the stairs or ladderway secure and free from movement?

  • Are there any missing bolts at the stairs or ladder?

  • Are there chains and clasp to prevent falls at top of ladders? (need 2, must support 200 lbs of force)

  • Are all handrails present and in good condition?

  • Are there confined space stickers on the top manway hatches?

  • Are walk overs installed on any on the walking surfaces between tanks?

  • Are the walk overs bolted down and secure?

  • Are there any additional findings to address with front and top of tanks? (please add notes if so)

Tank Farm (back and sides of tanks)

  • Do any tanks need DOT tape? (sides or back)

  • Is there a grounding rod with ground wire attached at back of tanks?

  • Does the grounding rod have a cap on it?

  • Does each tank have a plug or cap on the rear bottom valve. (under and behind axle)

  • Are all valve handles on the rear in good condition?

  • Are all bolts in place and tight on rear valve assemblies?

  • Are all rear connection points capped or plugged?

  • Does each tank have a license plate?

  • Are there any missing tail lights on any tank?

  • Are all license plate lights present?

  • Are the tanks bonded together with ground wire and clamps?

  • Are the clamps and bonding wire tight? (test by tugging on wire)

  • Are there any additional findings to address with rear of tanks? (please add notes if so)
