Introduction

  • This Fire Safety Inspection was completed by Pernix Safety Management on behalf of the Portland Brown Ltd

    The objective of the inspection and risk assessment was to assist Portland Brown Ltd in meeting its statutory obligations as specified under, The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Housing Act 2004 Health and Safety Rating Scheme (HHSRS)

    The scope of this inspection and assessment is limited to the specified areas including; the entire Common Areas of the premises in which Portland Brown Ltd operate leased Apartments , those common parts that may have an immediate effect on the fire safety of the Apartment, the Apartments operated by Portland Brown in this building

    During the inspection and assessment information was gathered from Portland Brown Ltd, and other relevant bodies, documents were reviewed and the premises inspected as far as was reasonable and practical to do so. Therefore, structural features of the premises and that were hidden from open view, e.g. ceiling voids, service ducts, etc., may not have been subject to inspection during this fire risk assessment. It is important to note that the assessment cannot guarantee to cover every aspect of all likely risks
