Forest school checklist

Safety - Check fences are in good repair and gates are secure
Fire/Evacuation - Check Evac Bag is easily accessible, with policies, medication box and first aid box close to hand
Hazards - report any low hanging branches that can cause harm
Hazards - Check for any loose bark/exposed sharp parts on tree trunk & remove/smooth over
Hazards - Thoroughly check for any unwanted objects i.e. litter, thorns, nettles, animal faeces
Stream - Ensure that the water is changed at the start of the session
Stream - Ensure that any debris is removed from the stream bed before re-filling it with water
Resources that are in use for the day are set up
Resources that are NOT in use for the day are stored away correctly
Any other Health and Safety concerns
