Gage checklist

Is gage made to the latest print and math data level?

Does gage follow latest design of GD&T, gage design?

Are hole, slot and distance taken from math data and tolerances taken from GD&T sheet?

Does any part of gage extend beyond gage base; this includes clamps and swing arms,<br>opened or closed?

Does each net pad have it's own clamp?

Do clamps with swivels have approved swivels?

Do tooling balls have covers?

Do all swing templates have lock in up & down positions and do not extend beyond base in<br>open position?

Do all datums match contour of the part?

Is the lowest checking surface of gage min 2" above base?

Are trim edges cut flush to nominal or grooved with green paint per approved design?

Are all pins and feelers stamped with CMC part # and actual mm size?

Are location and diameter pins inserted into base or collets properly?

Are datums pins extended the proper distance?

Do springs return datum locators properly without distorting part?

Do all locating, stab and contained pins move freely?

Are all marked surfaces clearly visible when part is on gage?

Are feeler zones clearly marked and stamped with feeler ID?

Is gage surface smooth with no tool marks?

Are bodylines scribed and labeled?

Does tolerance on location pins, feelers & go/no go pins agree with part and gage design print?

Do clamps w/wo swivels contact perpendicular part?

Are clamps made of proper clamping material with easily replacable

Is gage tag filled out properly with all information (CMC part #, Name, Asm #)?

Do certification stickers have CMC part #?

Will gage accept parts with nuts, studs, final assembly, etc.?

Are there permanently mounted gage instructions (laminated and mounted directly to the base) on the fixture?

Is gage third party certified?

Are certifications and final electronic gage prints included with gage?
