GROUNDING PROCEDURE: As soon as possible after the grounding incident, the Master must report the incident to the Lead Master or Designated Person and provide as much information as possible. Please use the checklist below.

  • Are main engines, etc., intact? Report findings here:

  • Is it your judgement that the vessel can be moved off ground without assistance?

  • Is it your judgement that the vessel stands in an exposed position?
