Grass/Turf

  • Greater than 15mm and no longer than 50mm

  • Cut upto all surfaces and boundaries

  • Neat and tidy even appearrance with no skidding, scalping or damage

  • All locations edged so no surface is invaded by more than 30mm, herbicides have not been used

  • All channels between walls, fence lines, obstacles, footpaths and paved areas are clean and weed free

Shrubs

  • Individual/ patches of weed growth greater than 50mm high and /or 90mm spread have been removed

  • Exposed soil in shrub beds is cultivated to a medium tilth

  • Beds requiring mulch have been mulched with bark or peat to a depth of 75mm

  • Shrubs have been pruned to a neat shape and balance

  • Shrubs causing obstruction to pathways, door access, light or vehicle sightlines

  • Climbing shrubs are supported

  • All asrings have been removed

Hedges

  • Current years growth does not protrude more than 80mm outside of the desired contour

  • All arisings removed

  • All hedge bases shall be clear of weeds and cultivated as per shrub bed maintenance (58.1, 59.1, 63.2)

Roses

  • Roses pruned between 30 October and 15 March

  • All appropriate roses dead headed

  • All exposed soil cultivated to a fine tilth

  • 50mm of organic material incorporated annually in November over the entire location

  • Rambler and climbing roses are suported at 450mm intervals

  • All arisings removed

Trees

  • Remove Epicormic growth

  • Repair and adjustment of stakes and ties

  • Removal of damaged or unwanted sections of the tree including windfall/ branches

Cleaning of grounds (all areas including turf, planted beds and hard landscaped areas)

  • Grounds clearance/litter removal every two weeks 1st of April until 30th September

  • Grounds clearance/litter removal every four weeks 1st of October until 31st March

  • Weeds controled on all hard surfaces

  • Leaves cleared from from site every 4 weeks 1st November to March 31st

Planted Beds/ Boxes etc

  • All dead herbaceous material, leaves, seedheads, etc have been removed. Beds weeds free and Cultivated
