Playground Inspections Routine Form (Weekly)

Are signs present and legible

Are pathways undamaged and free from obstructions

Is site free of litter, glass or any dangerous objects

Are seats undamaged and secure

Are litter bins secure and undamaged

Are there no trip hazards, particularly at edge of safer surfacing

Is there any offensive graffiti on site

Are all supports present and secure

Is all metal work undamaged / no cut or broken ends / heavy rusting

Are all guard rails/ chains present

Are all parts securely fixed using visual inspection only

Are there signs of holes in metal or timber where something may have been removed

Is swing bars secure and undamaged

Are the chains secure and undamaged

Is the safer surface undamaged and without excessive wear

Do items move freely and noiselessly

Are all grips firm and secure

Any other observations such as ground movement or protrusion of material from ground that could cause injury. Damage to plants / trees.
