FIRST IMPRESSIONS

  • Main Signs -All letters illuminated. All external signs are clean. All internal signs are clean. External screens working/displaying correct content?

  • Windows - Glass/frames spotlessly clean. Campaign implemented as per VM, correct signage, merch steamed, no visible tags, lights working & positioned?

  • Lead in Table - Per the VM brief, correct product/correct signage on display.

STORE OPTIMIZATION

  • Promotions - Implemented as per VM, merchandised in correct/high traffic locations, correct signage in the correct formats.

  • Floor fixtures - Positioned correctly and even spacing, with relevant signage, arms, and shelves not overfilled, no dust or glue residue?

  • Sizing - All merchandise size curved. (Check 10 rails)

  • Replenishment - Check that all merch has been filled in from the stockroom (with all sizes available) No merch in the stockroom that is not on display on the floor?

  • Top Displays - According to VM layout. Stock on display within customers direct line of vision.

  • Point of Sale - Whole area neat, free of clutter, carrier bags & tags out of sight?

  • Store merchandised in full according to latest VM instructions. Where exact items are not available suitable alternatives used staying within color pallets.

  • Barcodes - All price changes implemented with new price stickers neatly done. White stickers for price increase red reduced stickers for sale stock (only two stickers)

  • Footwear Stand - Merchandise and sized correctly

  • Lights - All working, positioned correctly to illuminate merch, clean and dust-free, max 48Hour turnaround time when lights go out?

  • General housekeeping - Swept, vacuumed, mopped, fixtures and all shelves dust free.

  • Stockroom - Standards the same as the sales floor, stock grouped by categories, no stock directly touching the floor, no old convention/marketing material?

  • Markdowns & Consolidations - Actioned according to instruction.

  • Accessories - Merchandised as per VM brief on accessories units as well as on displays.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Carrier Bags - Cashiers are asking "do you need a bag for this?" not just handing out. Ringing up bags with every purchase, check sufficient backup stock?

  • Coaching - Store leaders actively and visibly evaluating & coaching team members on SELLING?

  • Music - Only approved music played, correct volume for each Chain.

  • Air-conditioning - In working order, vents clean and dust-free. The temperature in the store is comfortable. Problems reported to Area Leader within 1 hour?

  • Team Member observed interacting with customers. (Overall GAS+ rating)

RISK/MAINTENANCE

  • Ladders & Caution Triangles - All ladders are safe, rubber feet, used correctly. Safety triangle used every time floors are mopped?

  • Fire extinguishers - Serviced, accessible, correct signage, and clean?

  • Customer Hold - All customers keep asides to have a note with date, customer name and telephone no/email address, and collection date?

  • Laybys - To be kept in a separate area and checked regularly for expiry?

  • Security Tagging - All product that should be tagged is tagged. Tagged in the correct position on the garment. Are no tags visible on displays?

  • Sensormatic - Units in working order with the correct amount of coverage, all units checked daily. Dust-free, correct covers. Loose pedestals repaired within 7 days?

TEAM

  • Induction - Check that all team members have attended induction and are ready to deliver DARE?

  • Uniform and Name Badges - Everyone wearing correct uniform, name badges, trainee badges Max 5 day turnaround?

  • Training - Learning Bytes done with all team members and register submitted

  • Each Team Member assigned for the day and aware of their area of responsibility

  • Correct OPC followed. Not over or under staffed and in line with SF schedule
