Guard rail and Cable Railing Inspection

  • All edges/ levels 6' or more above a lower level are protected with cable or guar rails?

  • All guard rails securely installed? Include photos of guard rails.

  • Top rails between 39-45" and capable of supporting 200LBS down and out?

  • Mid rails 1/2 the height of top rails or 21"?

  • Guard rails are structurally sound with no signs of damage or deformation?

  • Weighted base guard rails systems are pinned or otherwise secured?

  • Weighted base guard rail systems are set back the proper distance and properly assembled with returns (where applicable)?

  • Guardrail surfaces smooth and free of snags, sharp areas, etc.?

  • All cable railings tight? Top cable between 39-45" under load? Include photos of cable rails.

  • Cable rails are flagged for visibility?

  • Toe boards present and secured in all areas?

  • Are there any specific areas where guard rails are damaged?
