Housekeeping Checklist

Are floors and walking surfaces kept free of potential tripping hazards such as tools, electrical cords, air hoses, materials and liquids? AFI 91-203 para. 5.1

Are noncombustible containers with vapor tight and spill proof lids provided for the disposal of combustible wastes, soiled rags and other flammable materials? AFI 91-203 para. 5.2

Are packing materials such as excelsior (fine wood shavings), packing straw and shredded paper stored in an isolated fire-resistant building? AFI 91-203 para. 5.3

Are protruding nails, brads and staples removed from packing materials to prevent injury to personnel? AFI 91-203 para. 5.3

Are aisles and passageways kept clear of stacked materials? AFI 91-203 para. 5.6

Is an 18-inch clearance maintained below fire protection sprinkler heads, rafters, joists, beams and roof trusses when materials are stacked less than 15 feet high? AFI 91-203 para. 5.6

Are trash and garbage cans leakproof and adequate in number and size? AFI 91-203 para. 5.8.2
