Do you observe any of the following:

  • Employees wearing CLEAN workwear provided by Van Hessen

  • All forklift drivers should wear a disposable smock when working with open product or brining combo bags;

  • Locker rooms clean and dirty uniforms all in dirty bin with Lid on

  • Employees are not using uniforms outside

  • All employees wearing steel toe, slip resistant, waterproof boots

  • Hairnets/Beard nets are worn in such a way that all hair is covered

  • Hair/Beard nets should not be worn outside

  • No Jewelry such as watches, bracelets, rings, earrings, visible piercings, necklaces, and other types of jewelry in open product areas is not permitted; (with the exception of a plain wedding ring)

  • Artificial nails, false eyelashes and nail polish are not allowed

  • Employees entering production are washing hands and using Boot wash

  • It is not allowed to transport food and drink to the production, shipping and the warehouse. The consumption of food and drink is only allowed in the designated locations (lunch room)

  • Pens used in production and shipping must be metal-detectable and one-piece. Paint and sharpie markers provided by Van Hessen may be used in production, shipping and the warehouse.

  • Wearing writing instruments on the outside of workwear or behind the ears is not allowed

  • The use of a ‘snap-off knife’ is not permitted

  • Product should not come into contact with floors, wooden pallets and other non-food safe surfaces

  • Food Defense: Do you identify an unauthorized and or unidentified person?

  • Ammonia: Do you identify Ammonia? If so, leave the area and immediately contact your immediate supervisor or site management.

  • Transport of food and drink to the production, shipping and the warehouse is not allowed

  • It is not permitted to take personal belongings such as tobacco, medication, personal electronic devices, mobile phone, speakers, earbuds, etc. in production, the warehouse, and shipping.
