TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CHUTE INSERT & IMPACT PLATES

  • All Chute works confoms to SS-M101

  • Impact Plates must have different colour coats to differentiate impact plates intended for shuttles and fixed transfer chutes.<br>(Paint color to be confirmed)

  • All liners installed and any red line markups submitted

  • All Impact Plate Ledge Liners (Cast) supplied by Bradken, complies as per SS-M116 & CL-0000-M-00518

  • Microledge and Ledge insert liners to be Bradken - must comply SS-M116 & CL-0000-M-00512

  • High Impact Zone in the chute insert to have Bradken "MICROLEDGE TYPE 2 BOLT ON" as per CL-0000-M-00512<br>Ausentic Manganese steel Grade H1A should be heat treated at a minimum of 1050 DegC for a minimum of 1 Hr per 25mm thickness and then water quenched.

  • Low Impact zone Impact Plate wear liners must be Bradken Duaplate as per CL-0000-M-00518 and all hardfaced liner plates to comply SS-M117

  • Low Impact zone Insert wear liners are Bradken Ni-Hard as per CL-0000-M-00512 complies SS-M116<br>Ni-Cr 4-600 shall be hardened and tempered inaccordance with the requirements of AS2027

  • Ceramic Liners for Impact plates and Chute inserts - 37mm Corro Tile Blue

  • All Cast Liner plate bolt holes cored to accept bolts from one side only.

CAST LINER PLATE TOLERANCES

  • Overall plate size is +/- 2mm

  • Bolt hole centres +/- 2mm

  • Bolt hole diagonals is +/- 2mm

  • Flatness measured on the non-wearing surface - Maximum convexity 1mm in 250mm & Maximum Concavity 2mm in 250mm

  • Cast Liner Plate Hardness Cr Mo 15 3 & Ni Cr 4-600 Minimum to be 555 BHN<br>H1A (High Impact) - 180 BHN will work harden in service

  • NOTE: The overall plate size tolerance shall be measured on the non-wearing side and shall include any plate squareness errors ie. that all plates must fit into a true rectangular frame which is 2mm larger than the specified plate size. Allowance for draft angles on both the external dimensions and cored holes are acceptable, however, this allowance shall be kept to a practical minimum

CAST LINER IDENTIFICATION PANEL

  • All liner plates shall have recessed identification panel cast into the center of non-wear side 3mm deep Low Impact Cr Mo - Square<br>Moderate or Low impact Ni Cr 4-600 - Circle<br>H1A High Impact - Octagon<br>

  • Hardfaced liner plate is a duplex wear plate which is producced by hardfacing mild steel plate. The mild steel backing provides a ready means of attachment by Nelson Studs. The Backing material shall comply AS3678 Grade 250. Hardfacing shall comply as specified in the contract documentation
