Wire mesh Installation using Double Boom Jumbo

  • Is PPE available in good conditions?

  • Is inspection done at the workplace and documenting it on "Face Diary"?

  • is ground support consumables available ?

  • is the ground support consumables present in supported ground?

  • Is Jumbo Operator's Cabin under supported ground(at least 1.5 m back from the last ring of rock bolts)?

  • Is jumbo positioned an equal distance from the sidewalls?

  • is the Services Equipment for jumbo available?

  • is there any loose in face,roof and side?

  • is the loose scaling done ?

  • is 33mm drill bit available in jumbo?

  • is the adopter for splitset available?

  • Is the toe of the split set through the front centraliser of the feed beam ?

  • is the toe of the split extending 500mm past the front of the centralizer.

  • is the dome plate placed over the toe of the split set?

  • is the toe of the split set through the second mesh square from the edge in the center of wire mesh sheet.(It may be necessary to place the bolt more than two squares in when turning to allow for overlap)?

  • Is the wire of the wiremesh running along the underside of the mesh parallel to the drive?

  • Is mesh picked up with the boom and lift it to the back?

  • is the bolting boom pointing up ?

  • is the mesh set in correct position by using the end of the drill boom?

  • is the the split set slowly moved forward in the hole ?

  • is the mesh held firmly in place with one boom (so that the mesh has an overlap of at least 300mm or three full squares with any other installed mesh)?

  • is the split set placed about 100mm from the hole(This is required so that wire mesh can be maneuvered freely)?

  • is the drill boom positioned into hanging wire mesh at a suitable mesh square?

  • is hole drilled as per the length of split set bolt specified in SSR?

  • is the second split set installed by pushing wire mesh tightly against the rock surface?

  • is the the first split set completely installed?

  • is another hole Drill drilled in the second mesh square of previously installed wire mesh and another split set installed?

  • Is the next sheet needs brought forward and set up the same as the first?

  • Is first three holes drilled and hanged the mesh as per previous sheet?

  • Is the drilling of the remaining splits sets in shoulders and sidewalls specified in SSR after the two sheets are secured?

  • Have all mesh installations overlaped with a minimum 30 cm (3 squares for wire mesh with 100x100mm aperture) and rock bolts installed in the second square of wire mesh edge.

  • Is last row of split sets in the mesh installed three squares back from the face to stop the mesh being torn?

  • Is any sagging mesh available?

  • Is rock bolts installed and secured in the mesh as per SSR ?

  • Is rubbish bin placed?

  • Any unused consumables available at the newly installed wiremesh area?

  • Is equipment(drill rig) status report sheet checked and recorded?

  • Is drill rig location,status,activity for the shift,any issues with it and work area status informed to mining mate?
