VI. HEALTH AND SAFETY

k. Feed bins are capable of being opened and closed from the ground and feed bin ladders are safely secured to the feed bin.

VII. HEALTH AND SAFETY SUPPLEMENTAL INFO * OPTIONAL, not required to pass audit, but strongly recommended.

a. Lug nuts to main service wires are tight.

b. All hazardous materials are stored properly in labeled containers and away from at-risk personnel. All employees are properly trained on the use of hazardous materials.

c. Flammable materials are stored in approved storage units.

d. Heaters are inspected by LP company annually in the fall.

e. All safety guards are in place (i.e. belts, PTO, Augers, etc.).

f. Lock out procedures are used while working on electrical equipment.

g. All adults have been trained in First Aid and CPR.

h. Safety glasses or goggles are worn when spraying disinfectant or pressure washing.

i. Fire extinguishers are placed every 75 feet and are checked periodically to ensure that they are functioning correctly and employees are trained to properly use fire extinguishers.
