Bids / Sales Concept

Contract Review

  • Are the deliverables established and recorded

  • Do you understand the need and function of a Quality Plan (QP)

  • Are any templates used, and if so where do you collect and store them

Design phase

  • How is the design initiated, would you include an initial Risk Assessment (RA) and consider any CDM or European directives. If so where would you find the information

  • At what point would you consider a review, check and would you submit your scheme design for checking

  • During the Design Review, do you see this as constructive comments or others enforcing their individual views<br>And how are any actions captured

  • The initial design review has highlighted some areas that you are unsure about and need additional information. How are the questions to the client captured and recorded

  • Do you understand the need or requirement for a LTQR, Lifetime Quality Record, and what is that need

  • When your design is detailed enough for checking, how is the checking process initiated ? Do you just pass the design to the checker, email them or complete a checking request form

Manufacturing Design

  • How would you complete some manufacturing drawings and where would they be stored

  • Who is the point contact to issue the manufacturing drawings, the Design Manager (DM) Project Manager (PM) or the supply chain

  • If the manufacturer needs additional information, clarity on the design, how is this recorded

  • Do you ever see the results of your design at manufacture

  • If there are any modifications required to the design drawings, how are they revised, up issued and where are they stored. Are they checked again prior to release
