Strain Injury Prevention

  • Can the foreman explain the "Early Intervention Program" and his responsibility for that program?

  • Can Carpenters (Interview 2 ) show or explain how to properly lifty sheetrock and bundle studs?

  • Can employees (interview 2) explain the "tri-pod" stance to be used when forward bending?

Housekeeping

  • Are power cords in walkways either hung-up or kept straight and against the wall AND not "Rat Nested"

  • Are tools that are not in immediate use, which are laying on the floor, placed next to a wall (within 1-foot of a wall or column and NEVER in the middle of walkways or stairs)?

Fall Prevention

  • Are set screws tight on Fortress Scaffold trusses or pins in place correctly on Snappy scaffold?

  • Are decks placed right-side up, and firmly lodged between trusses on Fortress Scaffold or decks locked and secure on Snappy Scaffold?

  • Are stilts and components used on the jobsite in good condition?

PPE

  • Are all employees wearing hard-hats and safety glasses (Unless Sanding)?

  • Are employees handling studs wearing cut resistant gloves

  • Are employee cloths in good condition and appropriate for the customer’s environment?

Safety Management

  • Is the Daily Task Analysis or Monthly Inspection properly conducted, and is the form completed and onsite for review?

  • Have all employees onsite signed the Safety Sheet this day?

  • Is the “Pre-job Plan” folder onsite?
