I have inspected the guardrails on the part above named project and find their installation to be acceptable in accordance with OSHA 1925.502 Fall Protection Systems Criteria and Practices requirements. After physically inspecting the guardrail system, I have directed the installing contractor to leave the equipment in place and accept custody and responsibility for its maintenance.

As part of these custody requirements, the controlling contractor authorizes other trades to work within the guardrail perimeters to perform their necessary work. It is the responsibility of the controlling contractor to inform all other trades and/or contractors of any material. The controlling contractor will be responsible for providing designated material landing areas in an effort to minimize maintenance of the guardrail system. The controlling contractor will assign personnel to frequently inspect and make repairs of the guardrail systems under it's control.
