  • Reason why vehicle isn't isolated ?

  • Check Battery Isolator terminals & operation, does it shut engine down, check if lock out handle is fitted (replace/repair as required)

  • Is the vehicle clean inside, outside and underneath ?

Engine Compartment

  • Change engine oil and Filter (Fill and check level)

  • Change Air Filter

  • Check coolant level (top up if necessary)

  • Check condition of radiator and dirt build up in fins, check hoses & clamps (wash ut, repair, replace if required)

  • Check power steering fluid level (top up if necessary)

  • Check windscreen washer level (top up if necessary)

  • Check battery electrolyte level, Terminals and retainer bracket

  • Check brake fluid level (top up if necessary)

  • Check clutch fluid level (top up if necessary)

  • Check all Drive -Belts (adjust if necessary)

  • Check for oil leaks (repair if necessary)

  • Drain fuel sediment bowl and change filter

  • Check engine pipe & exhaust studs (repair if necessary)

  • Check all wiring is strapped up and not chaffing

Operator Compartment

  • Check condition of doors and latches (repair/adjust if necessary)

  • Lubricate door hinges and latches

  • Check condition of seats and seat covers

  • Check condition of seat belts (repair/replace if necessary)

  • Check and lubricate bonnet release cable

  • Check operation of all switches and gauges

  • Check operation of windows and lube channel.

  • Check operation of 4wd selector (unseize if required)

  • Check operation of head lights (repair as necessary)

  • Check operation of reverse lights and beeper (repair as necessary)

  • Check operation of indicator lights (repair as necessary)

  • Check operation of tail lights (repair as necessary)

  • Check operation of flashing lights (repair as necessary)

  • Check condition of rubbers on clutch and brake pedals

  • Check operation of windscreen washers (repair if necessary)

  • Check operation of wipers. (repair if necessary)

Chassis and Driveline

  • Check mounting of bull-bar (repair as necessary)

  • Check condition & date of inspection of fire extinguisher (replace as necessary)

  • Check date when AFFF was last inspected (6 Monthly inspection required)

  • Check mounting of tray (repair as necessary)

  • Check mounting and condition of mudguards (repair as necessary)

  • Check front swivel hubs for excessive movement & oil leaks.

  • Check all bearings (Repair as required)

  • Check steering box and steering linkages (repair as necessary)

  • Check steering column universal joints (repair if necessary)

  • Check condition of springs, rear U-bolts and shackle bushes (repair as necessary)

  • Check condition of shock absorbers & bushes (repair as necessary)

  • Change both front & rear diff oils

  • Change gearbox and transfer case oils

  • Grease all grease points including driveshaft slip joints, universals, steering joints and Sibs Hubs (Three pumps)

  • Check condition of brake pads and discs (replace if necessary)

  • Check exhaust pipe and mounting (repair if necessary)

  • Check tyre condition and wear

  • Check wheel rims for, damage or cracking

  • Check wheel nut tension & wheel nut indicators are fitted (tension & fit as required)

Crane (Where fitted to vehicle)

  • Is the vehicle fitted with a crane ?

  • Check E stops function test.

  • Check battery isolator is functional

  • Oil Level ñ Check level in hydraulic tank

  • Check mounting bolts are not pulling thru

  • Remove console cover and inspect slew worm for wear or movement. Apply new grease.

  • Check slew stop is fitted

  • Check and tighten hydraulic fittings. (Check for oil leaks)

  • Check extension mast wear pads for wear and movement

  • Locking pins and clips fitted and checked for wear and tear

  • Check lifting hook and safety latch.

  • Inspect crane for damage

  • Check valve micro switchís start electric motor when lever is moved and, stop when returned to neutral

  • Carry out function test

Road Test Checks

  • Check operation of steering (repair as necessary)

  • Check operation of service brake (repair as necessary)

  • Check operation of park brake (repair as necessary)
