Customer liaison

  • Will the customer allow the electrical supply to be isolated for the during of the work to be carried out? (therefore no live working required)

  • If 'Yes' agree approximate start time & duration of task

  • If 'No' and live working is necessary for the duration of the task, how long will the task take?

  • Where the risk assessment deems that live working is not appropriate and agreement cannot be reach over a suitable time to allow the machine to be worked on isolated, the problem should be escalated.

  • Acceptance from the customer that the machine is unavailable and the electrical supply cannot be isolated, therefore work must be carried out whilst the system is still live.
