Are the anchors and windlass checked and in useable condition?

Are the routes loaded and activated, tested and ready to be used?

Are all charts and publications ready to be used?

Is the steering gear (manual and emergency) checked, tested and ready to be used?

Are the rudder indicators checked and ready to be used?

Are the engine controls tested and ready to be used?

Is the radar tested, adjusted (if necessary) and ready to be used?

Is the GPS tested and ready to be used?

Is the echosounder checked and ready to be used?

Is the magnetic compass checked and ready to be used?

Are AIS data inputs made and ready to be used?

Are the navigation lights checked and ready to be used?

Are handheld searchlights and deck lights checked and and ready to be used?

Are the handheld VHF radios checked and ready to be used?

Is the fixed VHF radio working? Have you checked it?

Is channel 16 working on your fixed VHF radio?

Is there a whistle or other sound signals available on bridge?

Has the bridge logbook been checked and filled in completely ?

Is the crew & passenger lists available and has it been checked ?

Is the intended voyage according to the vessel regular planning with an existing passage plan ?

Has a passage plan for the intended voyage been prepared ?

Is the Minimum Safe Manning requirements met for the upcoming trip?

Have you checked the weather forecast?

Are the tenders secured (on deck) and/or secured for towing ?

Has hotel service and galley confirmed they are secured and ready to go?

Are all the decks secured?

Is the dive platform secured?

Have you informed all the crew and guests and given instruction for rough seas conditions?

Has the pre-cruise checklist for engineering been completed and reviewed for gross failure?

Has the pre-cruise checklist for cabins been completed and reviewed for gross failure?

Has the pre-cruise checklist for hotel service been completed and reviewed for gross failure?
