Master Liveaboards - Pre-cruise checklist: Safety & decks

Have you checked all the fire extinguishers are in place, in date and full?

Have you checked and tested all the smoke detectors?

Have you checked and tested all the CO detectors?

Have you checked and tested all the heat detectors?

Are all the fire blankets in place?

Can you confirm the firefighting team has tested the SCBA breathing apparatus sets and all personal protective equipment within the past 6 hours?

Can you confirm that the fire pump has been checked for oil, gasoline and has been started within the past 6 hours (including pumps)?

Have you checked all the emergency exits?

Has all the signals for the evacuation route been checked and are presents?

Have you checked the emergency lighting?

Is the First aid kit fully stocked?

Have you checked and tested the AED?

Are the O2 cylinders full and the regs working?

Is the EPRIB in place and secure?

Are the life rafts in their correct stowage and in date with appropriate Hydrostatic release in date?

Is the sat phone fully charged with credit and working?

Is the PPE equipment complete and accessible?

If you carry them, are the hull breach kits complete and accessible?

Have you checked and tested the Carbon Dioxide Fire Suppression System?

Have you checked portable O2 units (if you have them)?

Is the sun deck clean?

Are all the decks clean?

Are the tenders fueled?

Are the deck heads clean?

Have you checked the mooring equipment?

If present, have you checked and tested the crane?

If present, have you checked the life jackets stored on deck?

Is the hull clean and clear?

Have you polished all the stainless steel railings?

Are the tenders clean?

Have you received all your fuel & oil for outboards?

Is the fuel secure for passage?

Have you got all necessary spare parts for the outboards? (example spark plus, etc.)

Are the dry-bags with radio & strobe lights ready for tenders?

If your tenders have these features, have you checked the VHF and navigation lights?

Are your tenders operational with tubes fully inflated?

Is your spare outboard secured?
