Container Properly Stored?

All items secured: No loose items?

Contents as per shipping list?

No risk of spill or fluids leaking?

Equipment clean, free of oil, rags, etc. ?

Loading conforms to company and DOT codes?

MSDS with container?

Container has proper labeling?

Doors closed and properly secured?

Forklift pockets clear of debris?

Rigging and sling color code up to date?

Outside and top of unit clear of debris?

Check lifting points.

Unit is free from the deck?

Outside of unit checked of loose tools or parts?

Lift Card / Simple Lift Check List

Do you know the weight of the load?

Has this type of lift been performed before?

Is the load readily accessible by available lifting appliances and is it in a straight lift?

Does the load have certified lifting points or slings wrapped around without any hazards?

Is there enough headroom for lifting appliance and slings?

Is the load stable, center of gravity (CG) below lifting points?

Is the lift balanced with the help of customized lifting arrangements?

Is load path and landing areas clear of obstructions? Access to other personnel restricted?

Are you experienced with all lifting equipment to be utilized?

Are environmental conditions with acceptable parameters?

Has the lift been inspected for potential dropped objects?
