MHS Security Inspections/ Procedures. Monthly inspections of the fire extinguishers shall include a check of the following items:
-
1 . Location of fire extinguisher in designated place?
-
2. Safety seals or tamper indicator are not broken or missing?
-
3. There are no obstructions preventing access to our visibility of any fire extinguisher's?
-
4. Verify that operating instructions on nameplates are legible and face outward?
-
5. Make sure the fire extinguisher was turned upside down at least three times (shaken) to make sure it is full.
-
6. Examine for obvious physical damage, corrosion, leakage, or clogged nozzle.
-
7. Is the pressure gauge readings and indicators in the operational range or position?
-
8. Annual maintenance tag is signed and dated?
