TSL SRK-11 Bag

  • Is there any obvious damage to exterior of the bag?

  • Are the quick-release buckles operable?

  • Is the zipper operated smoothly and undamaged?

  • Is the bag label marked with appropriate rope length for work location?

MCD

  • Is there any damage to the unit?

  • Does the sleeve slides off easily?

  • Does the Center plunger depress and release smoothly?

  • Does the Vectran line run through the device as depicted in manufacturer’s instructions?

  • Are the appropriate numbers of wraps for the user’s weight around capstan?

  • Does the sleeve slide easily back onto device and lock in place with silver button?

  • Is there approximately 2’ of Vectran line beyond the end of the MCD?

TSL SRK-11 Connective Components

  • Are two ANSI stamped carabiners present within the bag – one black and one red? Are both ANSI stamped carabiners in working condition per manufacturer’s inspection instructions?

  • Is the red ANSI stamped carabiner connected through end of Vectran line and the black ANSI stamped carabiner connected to the body of the MCD?

  • Is the Technora anchor strap present and undamaged? Does this anchor strap have both loops attached to the red ANSI stamped carabiner?

Vectran Line (ROPE MUST BE MEASURED)

  • Is the full length of Vectran “flaked” appropriately into the bag?

  • Is there any damage to the line? (It is recommended by TSL that a full inspection of the entire Vectran length be conducted at lease quarterly – on a daily inspection, the user need only pull out a few feet of the line from the bag, unless there is evidence of damage or misuse.

  • Is there any evidence of the Vectran line being previously used? The 6mm Vectran Line is rated by the manufacturer for a single descent.

  • Is the Vectran line end terminated in woven eye? Is the eye undamaged?

TSL SPARK Kit

  • Is the exterior of the bag without damage? Is the ANSI stamped carabiner attached to the strap and operational?

  • Is the zipper operating smoothly and undamaged?

  • Are five ANSI stamped carabiners present within the bag – one silver, one red and three blue? Are the ANSI stamped carabiners in good working condition?

  • Are two nylon slings present within the bag and are they undamaged?

  • Is the 6:1 pulley system present in the bag (using two blue ANSI stamped carabiners)? Is the 6:1 pulley system in good working condition?

  • Is the OOPS line (using one blue ANSI stamped carabiner) with Ropeman rope grab attached to 6:1 pulley system properly? and in good working condition?

  • Is the Extension strap (using red ANSI stamped carabiner) or red extension rope present and in good condition?

  • Is the CED (closed-foam elevating donut) with dog-bone anchor strap present and in good condition?
