  • If it is Saturday, have the crews clean the trucks prior to obtaining paperwork for the day.

  • Prior to issuing paperwork for the day ensure they have performed their truck equipment audits. Once completed issue job sheets for the day. Go over any special notes on the MEDs with the crew.

  • Watch the trucks as they depart the yard. Ensure the doors are shut and there is no safety concerns as they depart.

  • Submit truck audits and attendance record to Jake

Spot Checks

  • Before departing shop ensure that all trucks remaining in the yard are locked.

  • Print off MED sheets for the day and determine the most logistical route unless a specific crew will require special attention.

  • Prior to departing for spot checks, perform a walk around of the company vehicle you will be driving for the day. Ensure your license plate is not expired, you have a copy of the insurance, all tires are properly inflated, headlights and tail lights work, you have enough fuel for the day, and that the car is not due for an oil change.

  • Perform spot checks utilizing the spot check evaluation template. Take numerous photos to illustrate how the move is transpiring. Ensure that you are identifying training issues with the crew members and training them on it. Prior to departing, review the spot check with the crew briefly and ask them to sign it. Should the crew be struggling, perform another spot check on that crew later in the day to see if they have applied your notes or if reprimands are necessary.

  • Ensure that the company vehicle has fuel when returning to the yard and again note on when an oil change is due.

Back at Warehouse

  • Ensure all spot checks have been submitted to Jake along with any write ups or disciplinary notes.

  • Evaluate the following days schedule to ensure there is enough resources available to run the crews. If necessary contact other franchises to arrange for additional man power.

  • Prepare paperwork for the following day. Ensure that the CSRs do not have any possible jobs pending that may book last minute for the following day.

  • Evaluate the yard again. Take note of any new trash that may have accumulated from returning crews. Ensure that all trucks in the yard are locked, and lights are off prior to departing.

  • Write down any notes or tasks that you observed that need to be completed by location manager/owners. If none write N/A.
