Section 1 - Communication

Section 2 - Welfare

  • Summer time working is managed and temperatures are monitored

Section 3 - Equipment & Machinery

Section 5 - Operations

  • Condition of load checked before loading/offloading operation

  • Foreman/supervisor is in control of operation

  • Foreman/supervisor is providing clear hand signals to operators

  • Tag lines available and used and in good condition

  • Hands off tools – Push pull

  • Are all personnel standing out the line of fire? e.g. driver standing in safe location

  • Safety harnesses used as required during unloading loading operations

  • Correct number of crew as required in procedures

  • Banksman are available and identifed

  • Wind speed acceptable for lifting operations – anemometer used

  • Wheel chocks available and used

  • Truck engine switched off during operation

  • All employees have the correct training. i.e. slots. R N B and plant licences

Section 6 - Load Security

  • Condition and availability of load security items as per load requirements

  • Dunnage and chocks used

  • Load security checked prior to departure by supervisor – 1.5 metre max overhang, correct load restraints used

Section 7 - Stack Control
