Ten Commandments of cavity wall installation
1. Introduce yourself to the customer; be polite and professional.
2. Carry out all pre-installation checks and inform them to remove all breakables from the exterior walls and window sills and check all walls for single skin.
3. Ensure you have checked all heating appliances and ventilation requirements.
4. Complete the material flow rate tests.
5. Carry out the installation to KIWA BDA specifications and adhere to all health and safety requirements.
6. Carry out the post installation checks.
7. Ensure you have checked all heating appliances and ventilation requirements.
8. Clean up all dust, remove all debris and wash down.
9. Complete all paperwork including the customer care form and ask customer to sign, leave a copy of the flue check sheet.
10. Ask the customer to inspect the work before you leave.
