  • Hitch and Mechanism

  • Breakaway cable, check fraying or damage

  • Electric hitch, check damage to cable or corrosion to connector

  • Jockey wheel mechanism and wheel

  • Handbreak

  • Check spare tyre to ensure:

  • Inflated

  • Fixed correctly

  • Tread is legal

  • No visual damage to tyre

  • Check all of the below:

  • Reflectors

  • Tyres on trailer

  • Mud Flap

  • Lights- are they functioning correctly?

  • All moving parts, hinges, catches etc are all in good order

  • Weight

  • Are any loads fastened down securely

  • Is the weight places over the axel, with a slight nose weight

  • Is all load within the manufacturers specifications of the trailer, regarding safe loading

  • Any other comments

  • Please upload photos of the trailer before being used
