DAILY TASK
OCCUPIED CLEAN TO BE DONE TWICE DAILY (EXAMPLE 11AM & 2PM) **Area of Service Sterile Storage/Preparation/Sterilization**

Don PPE A cover gown, shoe cover, and hat must be worn when entering this area. The hat, shoe cover, and cover gown will be doffed when leaving this area.

Waste shall be removed and treated as general solid waste. Clean waste receptacles and replace with clear waste receptacle liner(s). Place wet floor/ caution sign(s) around work area.

Using a microfiber flat mopping system, wet mop floor and antifatigue mats.
TERMINAL CLEAN TO BE DONE ONCE DAILY (EXAMPLE 6p-5a) **Area of Service Sterile Storage/Preparation/Sterilization**

Don PPE A cover gown, shoe cover, and hat must be worn when entering this area. The hat, shoe cover, and cover gown will be doffed when leaving this area.

Daily 1 High dust (using moist cloth NO DRY DUSTING)

Within Sterile Storage vents over racks will be damp dusted if visible dust is spotted. Coordinate with medical staff before moving any shelves.

Daily 2 MOU Check daily to remove /replace Biohazard Sharps containers @3/4 full and replace.

Daily 3 Waste shall be removed and treated as general solid waste. Clean waste receptacles and replace with clear waste receptacle liner(s). Place wet floor/ caution sign(s) around work area.

Daily 4 Check all walls (including exterior sterilizers and cabinets) and clean as needed. Wall washing shall be scheduled Month in accordance with the MOU.

Daily 5 Using Clorox Peroxide wipes, wash all flat surfaces. Use a stepladder for hard-to-reach areas.

<br>Daily 6 Using a high efficiency particulate air (HEPA)-filtered vacuum, vacuum floor and antifatigue mats. <br><br>

Daily 7 Clean baseboards, corners and edges, if there are visible signs of bioburden.

Daily 8. Hook up automatic scrubber and add recommended amount of EPA-registered hospital cleaner/ disinfectant (Virex Plus) to tank. Roll up antifatigue mats, pick up and move to enable flooding and scrubbing with automatic scrubber. Move SPS carts as needed to ensure proper cleaning. Note: Saturate floors thoroughly with EPA-registered hospital cleaner/ disinfectant (Virex Plus). Be careful not to splash solution on equipment or wall surfaces. Use wet/ dry vacuum to pick up solution.

Using a microfiber flat mopping system, clean the underside of antifatigue mats. Return mats in the same location when the floor has dried. They should not remain rolled up.

Daily 9. Clean and return equipment to SPS housekeeping aide closet (HAC). Place soiled microfiber wiping cloths and mop heads in clear waste receptacle.

Daily 10. Remove PPE and wash hands thoroughly.

Daily 11. Restock paper towels, hand sanitizer and soap refill(s).

Monthly 1st Saturday of each month SPS staff will move half the racks and carts. EMS will clean the vents (using a moist cloth, NO DRY DUSTING) & scrub the floor which was occupied by the racks and underneath cart

Daily Don PPE : A surgical gown, disposable cap, rubber gloves, face shield and shoe covers must be worn in this area and discarded prior to leaving the area.

Daily 4. Using a microfiber flat mopping system, add clean pads and EPA-registered hospital cleaner/ disinfectant (Virex Plus) to mop bucket before cleaning Decontamination area.

Daily 3. The restrooms and employee lounge located in the area shall be cleaned before cleaning the Decontamination work area
