Safety Guidelines

Maintenance Procedures

  • Inspect fins. Straighten with a fin comb as required

  • Remove dirt or rust from all interior parts. Repaint as necessary

  • Inspect and adjust fresh air damper

  • Clean or change filter

  • Grease motor and fan bearings, if applicable

  • Inspect gaskets. Look for leaks between unit and window. Caulk as necessary

  • Check for refrigerant leaks. Submit a work order to correct any leaks

  • Start the unit and observe operation

  • Check temperature differential between air entering the evaporator and leaving the evaporator

  • Check frame of unit with ohmmeter for proper electric ground

  • Replace covers, clean air filter and front filter grill

  • Clean up the work area
