Make Up and Foundation Reinforcement

  • Slab thickness is correct per engineered plans (minimum 10" from lowest point)

  • All poly splices are taped and all holes are sealed to ensure weatherproofing.

  • Cable chairs are placed a maximum of 3' apart.

  • Cables at corners are placed no closer than 6' from corner.

  • Cables have sufficient tension to hold them straight and off the bottom of the beam.

Stress Foundation Cables

  • Cables have been counted to ensure that all cables have been accounted for and stressed.

Float Forms

  • Porches are dropped per engineered plan. Minimum of 1 1/2".

Foundation Concrete Placement

  • Foundation finish is a polished power trowel finish.

  • Foundation is facing the correct direction per the site plan.

Strip and Dress Foundation

  • All corners and edges that may have been damaged have been repaired.

  • Exposed foundation has been entirely underpinned on every side.

Rough Grade

  • 10" of exposed foundation is maintained. Please provide picture documentation.

  • Swales are redefined and conform to drainage plan.

  • Water drains properly over flatwork.

  • All hand grading is complete

  • There is no standing water.

Final Grade

  • 7" of slab minimum is exposed around the entire foundation from final grade to bottom of siding. Provide picture documentation.

  • Topsoil is a good quality soil that supports landscaping growth.

Flatwork

  • Sleeves were installed where needed for sprinkler and underground utilities.

  • Asphalt expansion joint material is installed where flatwork joins existing flatwork.

  • Patio's are 4" below finished floor of foundation and slope 1/4" per foot away from foundation.
