  • Ensure exits are appropriately signed and that there is clear access to & from exit doors.

  • Do overload ratings match motor nameplate ratings

  • Are fuses correctly rated, tight and in good condition

  • Inspect connections at motors, switchboard and equipment that is subject to vibration. Re-tighten terminations as necessary

  • Are interpole barriers and shrouds in good working order

  • Inspect insulation for signs of deterioration or cracking

  • Inspect for any evidence of dampness or condensation

  • Where applicable check operation of any heater and inspect any anti condensation finishes for signs of deterioration

  • Check for smells that might indicate overloading or deterioration of equipment/components

  • Check for noises that might indicate electrical discharge, tracking or looseness of components or equipment that requires servicing e.g contractors

  • Inspect switch gear, controls, cabling, bus bars etc for dust build-up, signs of overheating/loose connections and general condition of equipment

  • If surge diverter's are fitted ensure at minimum 50% life remaining

  • Check any penetrations in the switchboard are sealed.

  • Check for rodents/pest infestation. Treat & clean as required.

  • Check continuity to earth

  • Check and record neutral current

  • Vacuum clean the switchboard interior and remove any rubbish

  • Close and/or reinstall doors, access panels, cable covers, escutcheon panels etc once internal clean & inspect is completed. Ensure all fixings for panels are installed and securely tightened and that all labeling is still intact.

  • Where fitted check indicator lamps and replace as required.

  • Check for signs of corrosion and/or condition of paint, door locking handles/levers, hinges and cable access points

  • Check door & panel seal

  • Clean all external surfaces of switchboards to remove any dust.

  • Are there Meters Fitted?

  • Record all meter Instantaneous readings

  • Record Maximum demand values and date

  • Reset Maximum demand values.

  • List any non conformance's and recommendations in the field below
